If the same people are standing differently, one behind another or a little further away, then you'd have to close the aperture (eg. f8) so the people in the front AND back are in focus. in both cases, you'll need to focus on the person in the front as the depth of field extends backwards more and more as you close the aperture.Cathy x.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08730919391440848001noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7175214919599927095.post-75012018673530954792010-06-11T11:23:33.274+10:002010-06-11T11:23:33.274+10:00The ACP classes are great, aren't they? I've been shooting in AV mode to have a little crutch but I know I need to get on over to Manual. Right now I'm having trouble getting the things I want to be in focus, in focus. They look like it to me as I'm shooting but then when I download the image they're not. I tried to up my aperture to 2.8 to get more in focus but it hasn't seemed to make a difference (these are primarily for people shots). Perhaps I need to bump it up even more?

Thanks for listening and thanks for the tips. I just keep hoping that maybe after I read these things 100 times, something will finally soak in or click.Daniellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06885761870362457252noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7175214919599927095.post-53759219387373239242010-06-07T08:22:17.387+10:002010-06-07T08:22:17.387+10:00Great tips for all us food bloggers, thanks for sha...Great tips for all us food bloggers, thanks for sharing:)Nancy https://www.blogger.com/profile/16584827253488904364noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7175214919599927095.post-81046037253916289762010-06-06T18:48:50.948+10:002010-06-06T18:48:50.948+10:00hehe thanks yw :) i just finished my course last w...hehe thanks yw :) i just finished my course last week so it's all still fresh in my mind.Cathy x.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08730919391440848001noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7175214919599927095.post-46181363313393523292010-06-06T17:23:22.996+10:002010-06-06T17:23:22.996+10:00ahh.. very good basic intro to DSLR!!
